Monday, Wednesday, Thursday
Dry Land: 5–5:40pm; Water: 5:45–7:15pm

Tuesday, Friday
Water: 5:30–7pm

This group is designed to introduce athletes to a greater volume of aerobic endurance training as well as a continued commitment to stroke refinement in all four strokes including starts, turns, and finishes. In silver group, regular meet attendance throughout the season is required.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Attendance: minimum of 4 practices weekly
  • Minimum age: 8 (or pending coaches approval)
  • Must be able to swim all strokes legally within workout constraints
  • Knowledge of pace clock
  • Ability to swim
    • Swim 500 Free under 8:00
    • 12 x 100 Free on 1:45 interval
    • 2 x 200 IM on 4:00 
    • 10 x 50s Kick on 1:10

SKILLS TAUGHT:
Swimmers are taught various conditioning concepts. All strokes will be technically refined with an emphasis on advanced underwater and endurance training. Refinement of turns, starts and stroke technique are continually taught. There is an introduction on pace, race strategies and endurance training which is practiced on a daily basis. Silver swimmers are dedicated towards achieving goals at the Regional levels.
