We welcome guests to enhance service to members who are encouraging a friend to join and to make reasonable accommodations for members of other YMCAs traveling in our area and for out-of-town family of current members and for out-of-town visitors. Local Guests

Local residents may access the Y by using a day pass up to three times per year at a cost of $10/visit. The cost of each guest pass may be used to reduce your joining fee if you choose to join the Y. Guest passes can be purchased in-person or online the same day you visit the Y.
  • A valid photo ID is required for all guests ages 18 and older.
  • Guests age 18 and older must sign a guest waiver each calendar year.
  • Guests under the age of 18 must have parent/guardian sign the guest waiver.
  • Guests will check in at the YMCA welcome center upon arrival.
  • All YMCA of South Hampton Roads locations are part of one association—a visit to one location counts as a visit to all centers.
  • YMCAs may restrict guest usage, hours of usage and area of usage with or without notice to ensure the safety and comfort of members. We highly encourage members to contact the YMCA prior to visiting to inquire about guest restrictions due to demands on the facility.

Nationwide YMCA Members

Nationwide membership enables Y members to visit any participating YMCA in the United States when out of town. This YMCA participates in the nationwide membership program, and we look forward to seeing you!

  • Your local YMCA must participate in the nationwide membership program, so that we can verify your YMCA membership.
  • Please note that nationwide member visitors must use their home Y at least 50% of the time. 
  • If you wish to bring a guest with you when using the Y, your guest must live within 50 miles of the YMCA you will be visiting and abide by the guest policy for local residents.

The Outer Banks Family YMCA does not participate in the nationwide membership program from May 1–September 30. Day pass discounts are available for nationwide YMCA members.

If you are a member of any YMCA of South Hampton Roads location, use of the Outer Banks Family YMCA is included in your membership.

Nationwide YMCA members save $5 off the regular day pass rate of $15 per person. Day passes can be purchased in-person at the Y on the day of your visit.

Nationwide YMCA Members

Nationwide membership enables Y members to visit any participating YMCA in the United States when out of town. This YMCA participates in the nationwide membership program from October 1–April 30, and we look forward to seeing you!

  • Your local YMCA must participate in the nationwide membership program, so that we can verify your YMCA membership.
  • Please note that nationwide member visitors must use their home Y at least 50% of the time. 
  • If you wish to bring a guest with you when using the Y, your guest must live within 50 miles of the YMCA you will be visiting and abide by the guest policy for local residents.

Traveling for a tournament in Currituck County and want to use the Y for the weekend? Tournament passes are available, giving you access to the Currituck Family YMCA for 3 days.
