Effingham Street Family YMCA Celebrates Black History Month
21 February 2018
Since 1976, every U.S. president has officially designated the month of February as Black History Month. Other countries around the world, including Canada and the United Kingdom, also devote a month to celebrating black history.
This past Monday, the Effingham Street Family YMCA celebrated the past, present and future leaders and achievements in the local African American community. Present were local athletes, artists and youth that showcased their growing talents.
