Luke Kellam, 2020 Recipient of the YMCA Volunteer Service Award for the YMCA of South Hampton Roads


Luke has a long history of intentionally serving the community through his work on several organizational boards on the Eastern Shore of Virginia, and he has been a devoted and active participant on the Camp Silver Beach Board for the past five years. His involvement with CSB has included several stints chairing multiple board committees, and for the past two years, he has served as chairman of our board of directors. He has provided strong leadership in discussions on diversity and inclusion, and has represented us admirably on the Corporate Board of the YMCA of South Hampton Roads as well. In 2020, among its unprecedented challenges, Luke led the charge to raise $80,000 on behalf of Camp Silver Beach, its staff and its participants. His tremendous efforts have blessed many people and will continue to have ripple effects for years to come. We are privileged to honor Luke Kellam as our Volunteer Service Award recipient, and we stand grateful in the wake of his true and faithful friendship to CSB.
