Suki came to the Y looking for after-school care for her daughter. She heard infectious music coming from a Zumba class and decided to give it a try. The instructor’s welcoming smile, the energetic music and the fun moves made her fall in love.
The experience was so empowering that Suki soon found herself not only as a participant—she became an instructor. Facing the challenges of severe osteoarthritis, she needed to adapt her routine and embraced the therapeutic benefits of water exercise. Now a certified Aqua Zumba instructor, Suki extends a lively invitation to everyone to give it a try, “It’s not a class, it’s an experience—just add water and shake!”
