Kathleen Morgan, 2020 Recipient of the YMCA Volunteer Service Award for the YMCA of South Hampton Roads


Kathleen Morgan, (Commander, USN Ret.) has devoted her life to service, and in doing so has made an exceptional impact on the lives of youth in the Outer Banks. From serving as the Program Coordinator for Dare County Special Olympics, to teaching life saving swim lessons for the Y, and volunteer coaching the Special Olympics swim team, as well assisting with our YMCA Tidal Waves swim team, Kathleen has dedicated herself to serving the children in our community. A fixture and always smiling face at the Y, she brings joy to everyone lucky enough to meet her.
