Summer at the Y

As summer approaches and with warm weather here at last, we're excited to share the opening of our outdoor pools and the start of our summer operations!

Here's what you need to know:

• Our outdoor pools have officially opened as of Memorial Day weekend. 
  Unfortunately, the outdoor pool at Outer Banks Family YMCA and Effingham Street Family YMCA (estimate reopening mid-June) have not opened as initially planned due to unforeseen mechanical issues.
• First Tee – Hampton Roads has adjusted its hours to 7am–8pm to accommodate the summer season
• Stay and Play and Interactive Zone hours will shift after the school year comes to a close.
• We’ve extended our facility hours for your convenience. To find out the specific hours for your location, please visit our location page. 

June 2 through Labor Day, four locations to reopen on Sunday: 

• Currituck Family YMCA
• Effingham Street Family YMCA 
• Northampton County YMCA
• YMCA on Granby

In addition to our summer updates, please take note of our holiday hours:

• Memorial Day: 9am–1pm; outdoor pools will be open 12-6pm
• Independence Day: 9am–1pm; outdoor pools will be open 12-6pm. The Mt. Trashmore Family YMCA will be closed on July 4th for the 40th Annual Independence Day Run
• Labor Day: 9am–1pm; outdoor pools will be open 12-6pm
