Inclement Weather Updates

Due to inclement weather, we are experiencing some service disruptions. We will keep you informed with the most recent updates as we continue to monitor the developing weather conditions.

FACILITIES

  • Facilities and 24-hour access are open except First Tee — Hampton Roads. First Tee will remain closed for the remainder of the day. 

STAY & PLAY

  • There will be no drop-in childcare available 

FITNESS CLASSES

POOLS

  • Indoor pools are open as noted on the activities calendar

  • Swim lessons have been canceled and outdoor pools are closed

SPORTS

  • All sports practices have been canceled 

PROGRAMS

  • No aftercare for Chesapeake Public Schools and Norfolk Public Schools 
  • Regular aftercare will be available for Virginia Beach Public Schools. The Y will be picking up as normal from school and transporting them to the Y. Pickup is at 5pm

When the weather gets bad, YMCA of South Hampton Roads locations make a concerted effort to remain open and available to our community. However, conditions can sometimes become unsafe to the point where we have to close or delay opening until road conditions clear.
