Introducing the Impact Fund: Reflecting the True Power of Giving
At the YMCA, we believe that everyone deserves the opportunity to thrive, regardless of income or financial status. That’s why we work tirelessly to remove barriers and open our doors to all. Our mission is fueled by the generosity of our community and last year alone we provided $5.7 million in scholarship funds to ensure that children, families, and individuals could access life-changing Y programs.
As a leading nonprofit, donations make these scholarships possible. Whether it’s helping a child learn to swim, giving a family a place to belong, or providing older adults with a safe space to stay active and connected, every dollar makes a difference.
For years, we referred to this effort as our “annual giving” campaign. While the name served its purpose, it didn’t fully capture the incredible impact our donors have on the lives of others. That’s why we’re excited to share that we’re renaming this vital effort the Impact Fund.
This change is about more than just words. It’s about honoring the profound generosity of our supporters and reflecting on what their contributions truly achieve. The Impact Fund represents possibility, equity, and transformation. It tells the story of how our community comes together to ensure everyone has the chance to grow and thrive at the Y.
Although the name may be new, the heart of the campaign remains the same. We’ll continue to rely on the kindness of donors who believe in the power of giving to create opportunities and strengthen lives. Together, through the Impact Fund, we can ensure that the Y remains a place where everyone belongs and no one is turned away.
