YMCA Parenting Education programs provide parents skills to improve communication, set boundaries and structure, and strengthen parent-child relations. The programs provide parents with the knowledge necessary to help their children gain a sense of belonging, grow a self-identity, build self-esteem, learn leadership skills, improve time management and develop conflict resolution skills.

The YMCA is committed to providing programs that build a healthy spirit, mind and body for all. If you and your family need financial assistance in paying fees for YMCA programs or membership, just ask!

  Parents - Help is on the way! This 6-week interactive program provides parents skills to improve communication, set boundaries and structure and strengthen parent-child relations. YParenting gives parents the knowledge necessary to help their children gain a sense of belonging, grow a self-identity, build self-esteem, learn leadership skills, improve time management and develop conflict resolution skills.

The YMCA offers programs at the Effingham Street Family YMCA, the Mt Trashmore Family YMCA and through a partnership with Children’s Harbor in Ghent.
